Tanks and flow meters¶
Whisker.io shows tank levels, days to empty, chemical use and flow in two places:
- Across your account: Tanks and Flow Meters in the top menu. Each menu item appears only if your account has that equipment.
- At one location: the Tanks, Flow Meters and Pumps tabs on the location's Map/HMI view. Each tab appears only if the location has that equipment.
The Tanks page¶
Tanks in the top menu opens Tank Levels: one row per tank in your account.
| Column | Contents |
|---|---|
| Location | Where the tank is |
| (status icon) | Whether the tank has an active alert. Hover to see it |
| Tank Name | The tank |
| Level (Gal) | The current level in gallons |
| History | A graph of the level |
| Chemical | What the tank holds |
| Days To Empty | How long the tank will last at the recent rate of use |
| Injection Rate (24 hrs) | How much was used in the last 24 hours |
| Inj History | A graph of daily use over the past 7 days |
| Settings | The tank's settings (see below) |
| Last Update | When the tank last reported |
| RSSI | Signal strength |
Type in the search box to find a tank, click a column heading to sort, and drag a heading to the area above the grid to group by it. Use the export button to save the list as a spreadsheet. Double-click a row to open the tank's device page. The page refreshes every five minutes.
Level history and use¶
- History opens a graph of the tank's level for the last 24 hours. Click 7 Days, 14 Days, 21 Days or 28 Days to look further back, or 1 Day to return. "No Recent Data Received." means the tank hasn't reported in that period.
- Inj History opens a bar chart of the gallons and quarts used on each of the past 7 days, with dashed lines for the daily average.
Both graphs show exact values when you hover, and have a menu for printing or saving the graph.
Tank settings¶
Click Settings (gear) on a tank's row to open Edit Tank Settings:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Name | The tank's name |
| Chemical Name | What the tank holds |
| Specific Gravity | The chemical's specific gravity, used to turn the sensor reading into a volume |
| Injection/Usage Target (Gal/Day) | How much you expect to use per day |
Click Save Changes.
The Flow Meters page¶
Flow Meters in the top menu lists every flow meter in your account:
| Column | Contents |
|---|---|
| Meter Name | The flow meter |
| Location | Where it is |
| Yesterday (Gal) | Gallons measured yesterday |
| Day Before (Gal) | Gallons measured the day before |
Search, sort, group and export the list as on the Tanks page. For trends over time, add a Consumption Gauge or Consumption Graph to a dashboard, or open the flow meter's device page (see Devices and channels).
A location's Flow Meters tab shows the same columns for that location only.
Pumps¶
A location's Pumps tab lists its chemical pumps. Choose Past 1 Hour, Past 4 Hours, Past 12 Hours or Past 24 Hours to set the period.

The Settings gear opens the pump's settings. Auto Mode: is one of:
- Continuous GPM, with a Target Speed %:
- Duration, with a Frequency: and Duration:
- Continuous PPM, with a Target Pumps Per Min:
Click Save Changes. The new setting is sent to the pump.
